2014 Legislative Scorecard
Our 2014 Scorecard grades each MD lawmaker based on his or her key floor and committee votes during the 2014 session. To show you which lawmakers have stood up for consumer rights year-after-year, we've also given each legislator four-year average scores that summarize their record on consumer issues since the legislative slate was elected in Nov. 2010.

Consumer Chanpions, Consumer Heroes
Four delegates (Al Carr, Bill Frick, Barbara Frush, and Carolyn Howard) and three senators (Richard Madaleno, Paul Pinsky and Jim Rosapepe) earned the title of "Consumer Heroes, 2011 to 2014" for their perfect consumer rights votes over the last four years. We also named 47 delegates and 26 senators who earned 100% scores for their votes this year our "2014 Consumer Champions."
To honor the legislators who show strong leadership on the committees that cast the most difficult and controversial consumer votes, we also named 26 legislatorson those committees who earned overall scores of 85% or better our "2014 Committee Champions." You can:

Failing Grades
On the other end of the spectrum, two senators and 35 delegates (including five Democrats) earned failing grades (scores of less than 65%) for their 2014 votes. Two senators and 22 delegate got F's for their consumer votes over the last four years. You can:

2013 Legislative Scorecard
MCRC's 2013 Legislative Scorecard grades each Maryland legislatorbased on his or her votes on seven key consumer issues on the House and Senate floor and on a larger set of committee votes on consumer issues. The scorecard also includes three-year average scores for the 2011 to 2013 sessions that show you which legislators stand up for Maryland consumers, year in and year out.
MCRC's 11 2013 Consumer Champions earned perfect scores on consumer rights votes during the 2013 session while eight "Consumer Heroes" won 100 percent marks on consumer issues for the 2011, 2012, and 2013 sessions.
